In today’s age of hacking and e-crime, data protection is of paramount importance to us. We exploit the latest IT infrastructure, utilising a hardware firewall, state of the art, daily updated virus protection and a fully secure network server.

However, securing the data initially is only a part of the story. Daily backups and offsite storage using 'Veritas Backup Exec' guarantee that data will not be lost, but the administration database is the tool that allows us to trace data files for customers even years after a design is completed.

The database holds records of all designs for each of our clients and traces the latest and all previous versions of boards, allowing us to maintain complete design traceability and provide design and manufacturing files back as far back as 1987. As a recent example, a client company that had relocated several years previously discovered that they had "misplaced" the design and manufacturing files of a product from 1993, but still subject to contractual maintenance obligations.
